Mocha Writer: What is Al-Mahdi Fragrance?
Dawn: Al-Mahdi Fragrance is a small business that specializes in handmade Luxury Incense and other wonderful aromatherapy products.
MW: Why did you start it?
Dawn: Funny thing...the business started itself. I was making incense for myself, and my friends had started asking for them and then their friends and so on and so on.
MW: What is your business' mission?
Dawn: Simply put: to Scent the world one stick at a time. It's a Pinky and the Brain world domination outlook, but it works.
MW: What are some things you want to accomplish this year?
Dawn: To create a bigger buzz about Al-Mahdi Fragrance. Within a two year window [I want to] open a flagship store; even in the digital age, there are some things you just have to touch and smell for yourself.
MW: Who and what inspires you?
Dawn: People who live out their dreams. Life is such a blank slate that will only reflect the colors you put on it. So, as I meet individuals who are doing their own thing, it makes me work hard to be a "Freedom Copy-cat."
MW: What do you love most about owning your own business?
Dawn: That future picture that I have the ability to create, grow and pass down a family business for generations to come. We will be the Pepsi of incense.
